It is sad to once again see Peter Hitchens go on a totally unjustified and uninformed diatribe against Donald Trump. The fact remains that Donald Trump has not threatened anyone with arbitrary arrest and has simply said he will allow a special prosecutor to look into Hillary Clinton's crimes, something he would not have had to do if the law had been allowed to run its course by the corrupt regime in charge at this moment.
Now that Donald Trump has won the race for the presidency in the U.S., voting guides for that election are past their relevance date. Still, it is worth listening to the homily given by Fr. John Lankeit regarding the elections and how voting for the particular wicked candidate who lost puts one in a state of mortal danger. It is very on point regarding intrinsic evils and prudential decisions.
Let us remember that cynicism is a sin. When we see someone who seems virtuous we had better give them the benefit of the doubt until or unless we find out more about them, and we are not obliged to seek dirt on them without good cause.
