In the name of tolerance, tolerance is being abolished; this is a real threat we face.

Day's Links:
Now that Donald Trump has won the race for the presidency in the U.S., voting guides for that election are past their relevance date. Still, it is worth listening to the homily given by Fr. John Lankeit regarding the elections and how voting for the particular wicked candidate who lost puts one in a state of mortal danger. It is very on point regarding intrinsic evils and prudential decisions.
In time I hope to write a more elaborate assessment of the U.S. 2016 elections, but for now I am happy to know that the evil Hillary Clinton lost and that Donald Trump - a good candidate in his own right based on his policy positions - won. Not only did he win, but it brings me tremendous pleasure that the celebrities and famous leftists did not see it coming and accepted it very bitterly. Even better than that is the fact that decent hard-working people in the U.S. and abroad have dented the seemingly-relentless march of the culture of death and insanity that pervades the West.
The devil is smart and persistent. We can be sure he has more tricks up his sleeve, but his candidate lost and for that we ought to derive great satisfaction. We have gained a reprieve, and can re-group. In Donald Trump's words, the victory "belongs to us", and although he meant his electorate and his staff, we can extend it to all who oppose the globalist anti-Christian agenda.
It would hardly do justice to the truth to leave out the fact that Bergoglio once again interfered against Trump to promote the killing of unborn children. There is no doubt his intervention was meant to soften the resistance of the anti-abortion crowd. It did not work, and we must again be thankful that Bergoglio did not miss a chance to show what he really thinks about the sanctity of life and the sanctity of the Church's teaching and God's commands.
Donald Trump is now the president-elect of the United States of America, notwithstanding Bergoglio's interventions, a heavily biased mass media, his own party elite working against him, the political and financial elite all plotting to bring him down.
The election of Donald Trump is the biggest political event since the fall of the Soviet Union, exarcebated even more by the resources and principalities against him.
We dare hope for peace. The prayers of many faithful Catholics and the hard work of many others have been rewarded. May he keep all his good election promises, and may we pray that he brings the rest in line with the Social Kingship of Christ the King!
