The Bergoglio juggernaut never seems to stop rolling, it is. Today we have him encouraging the young to sin by telling us them that God prefers them sinful and weak, so that he can show his mercy. I know, that sounded like a misquotation, but sadly it is not. The only thing we can hope for is that it is a mistranslation, but that really is grasping at straws at this point. I suppose there is still the possibility that somebody framed him by just making this up.
One couldn't make it up: To defend Catholic teaching is now supposed to be protestant. That seems to be the gist of Fr. Allan J. McDonald's piece, in which he quotes Fr. Dwight Longenecker - who used to be a solid defender of the faith.
I have often remarked that Bergoglio will turn every one of his defenders into a liar before he is done. This piece more than proves my case.
