So DeusExMachina thinks that the firing of some scandalous bloggers has more to do with the realisation by the National Catholic Register that earning a living from a dying gang - what he calls "ZombieChurch" - is a bad business modell. As proof for his assertion he offers the fact that these people have not been snapped up by the Fishwrap, which main heterodox newspaper of the U.S., which would surely have signed them up if there had been a profit motive in having them hired.

Whatever the reason, let us take it as good news. If it happened because EWTN has decided to become more bold in its orthodoxy then that is good news. If it happened because EWTN has crunched the numbers and seen that the orhodox part of the Church is growing and the heretical one is dying, then even better.
