On this day we remember the Holy Apostles St. Peter and St. Paul.

Let us take this chance to remind ourselves of what a "pastor bonus", a good shepherd, looks like! It is one who will be willing to suffer and die for the sake of those in his care, for the sake of truth and Christ.

Let us take this opportunity to honour the memory and legacy of these great saints by being steadfast in our faith! Let us honour them by resisting prelates who do harm to the faithful, the wolves who devour the sheep under their care themselves, or lead those poor souls into the all-welcoming arms of the enemy!

Such a man we have as pope right now. We must not do the great St. Peter and St. Paul a disservice by fooling ourselves into thinking we owe him any allegiance.

As those glorious saints showed and paid for with their lives: Our allegiance is to Christ, and Him alone.
