Certainly, it is difficult to make the demands of the Gospel understandable to secularized people. But this pastoral difficulty must not lead to compromises with the truth.

In the article "On Francis and sedevacantism ", Louie Verrechio lays out his reasons for why he considers Bergoglio to be "a formal, notorious, pertinacious heretic". I cannot disagree with any of his points, and he does not even address the irregularities of the papal resignation which precipitated his election, a point he has dwelt on in the past.
He maintains, as I do, that one can tell whether the pope is a heretic or not, and quotes Scripture which tells us to avoid heretics - they condemn themselves by their own words.
If one has the spiritual maturity to make a good confession, then one has the spiritual maturity to realise who is a heretic and who is not and this applies to everyone: A pope does not get a pass simply because he has a more elevated position in the Church Militant than the rest of us - and that assumes Bergoglio is even pope, which is a point under contention.
That nobody can pass juridical judgment on a pope because nobody is above the pope, does not mean that the pope is not bound by the very laws and the very truths which he is sworn to uphold, and that once in violation of them, he has to be treated as though his violation of them is in keeping with good order. A pope violating the faith is a greater offence than a layman doing the same.
If we have any integrity we have to admit that.
