Day's Links:
If anything has proved true during Bergoglio's disastrous pontificate, it is that the worse a rumour is the more likely it is to be true. It does not mean that every attempt at perversion works, but we can safely assume that Bergoglio did indeed set up some kind of team to look into devaluing the Novus Ordo Mass even more.
The same goes for rumours about him wanting to get rid of priestly celibacy: He probably wants it badly. It is not likely he will get it, be we can count on him muddying the waters even there.
There is one bright spot in it if he does it, and that is that we can count on one of the great saints in the Church for assurance that Bergoglio will spend eternity in hell. It is true that private revelation does not rise to the level of dogma, but if we are being honest, and if we really do take the warnings of Christ and the apostles seriously, we would have to conclude that things look pretty bad for Bergoglio.
The saint in question is Sweden's own St. Birgitta, to whom it was revealed by the Blessed Virgin Mary in a vision that the pope who get rids of clerical celibacy will spend eternity in hell where he will be food to demons, and what not.
Catholics should not wish hell for anybody, but I must admit it is comforting to rely on a Church-approved vision in the case of Bergoglio. If he believes in God even a little - which I am quite certain he doesn't - let us hope that this will stop him! If he goes ahead either way, then the Church will have to resolve this particular problem, and as I cannot see how it can undermine the words of St. Birgitta, I see it as one more nail in the coffin that will be Bergoglio's future condemnation by the Church.
