In the name of tolerance, tolerance is being abolished; this is a real threat we face.

Day's Links:
There is some problem with Mundabor's blog feed, which means that sometimes it will disappear for weeks. I finally took the time to visit the site and click through and what I found is a veritable criticism of the consequences of Bergoglioism. You will find many good articles but what clearly concerns him is the upcoming synod. As any Church-loving Catholic out there, I am very afraid of what the synod will produce. There is also some concern about what spectacle we can expect on Maundy Thursday.
I recommend the following on the synod:
I also liked the April Fool's day joke he played entitled "Finally, An Orthodox Pope?" which reported on the Pope actually saying things which a Pope ought to say, leading from the front, so to speak. I only read it afterwards, but the responses to the comments show there is a lot of goodwill towards Pope Francis, and a lot of people still hope he will one day start taking his position seriously.
In "What Non-Catholics Do Not Get", he talks about how people in Catholic countries are aware of their sins, even as they commit them, and do not try to re-define the concept of sin, either obliterating the concept of sin entirely or embracing sin in full and changing hte beliefs to suit the behavious, such that what is sinful is considered thus no longer, even though other sins are still recognised. His example in particular had to do with those who want to see the Church change her condemnation of contraception on the argument that very many women use it.
It seems as though what was reported as the Pope denouncing such a thing as non-negotiable values, was in fact a strong endorsement of the fact that we cannot negotiate around any values at all. For once, I must admit he was misrepresented:
"I have never understood the expression 'non-negotiable values.' Values are values and that's all, I cannot say that among the fingers of one hand there is one less useful than another. That is why I do not understand in what sense there can be negotiable values."
