The secular awards just keep piling up on Pope Francis, who has evidently been named Fortune Magazines top world leader. From the small excerpt contained in the article, it is clear they don't much understand anything about either the Catholic Church or the Catholic faith, or the history of the Catholic Church. Nonetheless, I am curious as to how they define leadership. After all, the mood is that Pope Francis has done much to depress the rank and file faithful who have been fighting to bring the Gospel to a fallen world, and there is evidence that actual practice of the faith has gone down since he became Pope. In other words, one cannot claim he is leading people in accordance with the mission of his office - good leadership cannot be measured by the popularity of those who have no interest in doing anything you ask of them after all.

A man not likely to receive many accolades from the anti-Christian brigade is Cardinal Raymond Burke, and this interview on faith and the challenges to life and family clearly illustrates why. Here is a man who does not pander to emotionalism but rather argues for the Church's teaching using sacred tradition, natural law and Church documents.
