I'll agree with one of those interviewed that it is disturbing to hear people speak of ad orientem worship as though it might be harmful, or divisive, while nothing could be more Catholic in both the narrow - as in regards the faith - and the wider - as in universal - aspects of the term.
We pray for him, as we must indeed all, but I would like to think that he needs our prayers less than most, although we are not to judge someone's eternal destiny, of course.
What is certain is that Fr. Peter Carota helped many a people grow in the faith, myself included, and for that those he enlightened will be ever grateful to him.

Let us take this chance to remind ourselves of what a "pastor bonus", a good shepherd, looks like! It is one who will be willing to suffer and die for the sake of those in his care, for the sake of truth and Christ.
Now that Mother Russia has entered the Syrian war, we can at long last begin to hope for an end in sight to this conflict which has claimed so many lives, with victory for the right side and the survival of the Assad government, which is supported by Christians in the region.
