By order of the District Superior, our priests have been adding in the collects, secret, and post-communion for the Votive Mass for the Deliverance from Death in Time of Pestilence to the Mass on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for a few weeks now.

What a dreadful Collect! Apart from being ungrammatical, it tries to cram in far too many ideas. Compare this with the EF Collect cited by Marc which is direct, to the point and universally applicable.

The 'super oblata' reverts to the obsolete pre-2011 form.

By the way, what's the Latin for 'healthcare worker'?

Own comment: 

The Novus Ordo just can't do anything right. They issue a new Mass for times of plagues and it does not mention the wrath of God or any such thing, and the collect is so bland as to wonder whether it was written by somebody trying to learn a new language by stringing together a few disparate themes.

Long live NOChurch inventions! It is only a matter of time before more and more people wake up from its banality and yearn for something truer.
