      Here's what I have been doing for awhile now: I put NOTHING in the collection basket. Why? Because a mandated percentage off the top goes to the bishop/diocese and some of that to that other criminal enterprise called the USCCB. I DO however think I am obligated to materially support the work of the Church. I have found a missionary priest in Central America who lives humbly and has 7 parishes to pastor. The farthest parish takes him 4 hours to get to over unpaved mountain roads. I wire him money annually to be specifically used to pay for the medical needs of his poor parishioners.

      Another thing would be to organize a day of resistance - pick out one Sunday and tell everyone not to give a thing on that particular Sunday, to protest the 20 year long coverup of the homosexual abuses in the church, and their continued influence.
