Realist says:

After 19 years of war, over $1 trillion in spending, 2,400 dead and a torrent of lies, the US may now be facing an end to its longest war.

It’s one of the money makers for the Deep State.

...

In fact, the plot was hatched in Germany and Spain by Saudi exiles, not Afghans, who claimed the US was occupying their nation and exploiting its riches.

Alan Sabroski disagrees. https://www.unz.com/kbarrett/alan-israel-did-9-11-sabrosky-most-censored-man-in-america/

Sheikh Abdullah Azzam, told me `after defeating the communists in Afghanistan, we will go on to liberate Saudi Arabia from American rule.’

Would that be the Soviets or the government who requested their help?

Nothing is as it appears.

The best way to end a war is to end it. Declare victory, bring the troops home, cut off the dollars and ammo and leave.

Ultimately, wars like this will only end when men accept the limits to their ability to control the evolution of the world.

Good luck with that.

Meanwhile, my advice, for now, is to shelter in place.

TG says:

Agreed.

But: it’s not just Bush’s stupid war anymore. By allowing himself to be browbeaten by the elites, it’s Trump’s stupid war, now.

Maybe if we all started referring to it as Trumps’ war, it would wake The Donald up and he’d finally do what he promised to do during the election. Probably not, but could it hurt?

Before Trump secures reelection? Iran would be jubilant, although he wants to withdraw anyway. The only possible use for a withdrawal is as a bargaining chip with Iran, which he has no intention of ever invading. Trump merely demands respect from Iran. There was an interview with him in 1980 during the hostage crisis in which he expressed outrage at the US being humiliated. He hasn’t changed.

https://www.brookings.edu/blog/order-from-chaos/2020/01/07/how-donald-trump-thinks-about-iran/

He did not fire back after the September attacks on Saudi oil facilities. He has professed not to care about the Middle East beyond the oil and ISIS. He seems to want to avoid war, particularly in an election year. And, he was desperate for talks with the Iranian leadership, going so far as to try to surprise the Iranians by dialing into a meeting between President Rouhani and President Macron on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly.

[A] consistent element of all reports is that Trump did not sign on to the strike [on Soleimani] until after the Iranian backed protests outside the embassy.

The Iranians touched a nerve when their cat’s paw militia disrespected the US Embassy. The one thing that could get the Donald into Trumpenstein mode and the Iranians did it. They truly are their own worst enemies.

Sure. Ok. But who planted the explosives that brought the three towers down? I doubt there was a single Saudi exile involved with that – but I could be wrong….

All the reasons given for staying in afganistan are correct, but its worth adding to or highlighting more reasons.
In geostrategic terms Afganistan is well placed to hinder China & its Belt & road plans, it is centrally placed to all of the ” ‘stans” & Iran. Thus, it is also well placed to have a malign if indirect affect on Russia. Also, Afganistan holds out (vague) hopes of billions in mineral wealth to be exploited by US Co’s (in the current security environment next to zero chance…of course if the bribes were big enough, well, you never know….)

Mossad’s execution of 9-11 should have been a wake up call.

You guys subscribed to the phony WMD and coyote planes dissapearing into the babylonian twin towers whilst your intuition should have kicked in and told you something is not right.

9-11 should have been the litmus test for truth but you conveniently ignored it. You looked the other way due to cognitive dissonance.

You followed Bush’s order to go on a spending spree with more credit card debt jacked up with high interest to feed the satanic cabal instead.

With all these bogus wars on terror and non-ending hoaxes you have unwittingly supported the Zionist Satanic push for one world disorder.

At this point, all you can do is repent for your sins and start fighting back the criminal enterprize who are in charge of orchestrating all these bogus war on terror, creating these monstrous, diabolical, sinister ISISraHELL with the help of al-CIA-da and MOSSAD.

Alternate would be to sit back and enjoy bigger fireworks than 9-11 coming near you whilst they prepare greater IzraHELL for the coming of their Yahweh, The Anti-Christ dajjal who will globalize his reign of terror from Jerusalem.

Either way buckle up for a roller coaster ride with some of these demonic, totally psychopathic, diabolical, sinister, pathological liars and corrupters of mother earth. You reap what you sow.

There is a lie. Then there is a BIG LIE. Then there is 911. Santa Claus is beyond a LIE. Tel LIE vised 911 EvangeLIED are being taken for a ride by way of Deception to think Jesus Christ died for their Evils. Everyone shall have to account for deeds, either good or evil to enter Paradise or eternal abode in Hell fire.

The infuriating thing about 9/11 and the multitude of lesser false flags which both preceded and followed it is that, although most Americans know it was as phoney as a three and a half dollar fed reserve note, everyone seems content to put up with the extremely phoney “war on terror” it was designed to create and which has already destroyed a hand full of countries in the world, caused the murder of upwards of two million people, mostly using U.S. military, and turned the U.S. into a ruthlessly insane police state wherein everyone is made to obey patently unlawful statutes in the name of “emergency” while the ruling elite has quit obeying any laws at all while gathering a massive military presence to cow the now restless and resentful public. – See more at:Christopher Bollyn: The Man Who Solved 9/11

“Great Game” diplomacy of the 19th century is still being played out in Afghanistan today. Big Power rivalry led to world war one, and by consequence the second. The pattern of history points to a third – this time nuclear.

A123 says:

Trump would like to extract U.S. troops from this mess.

Alas, the NeoConDemocrats that believe in Hillary’s endless war theology have managed to obtain enough influence to keep the Obama-war going. The best shot at ending this quagmire is Trump’s 2nd term.

If you think Biden would end this, you are kidding yourself. Worse yet, Joe Biden will put U.S. boots on the ground in Ukraine to protect Hunter Biden’s employer Burisma. Things will rapidly become worse if the DNC is allowed to steal the election from Trump.

PEACE

Own comment:

It is highly unlikely that the U.S. will get out of Afghanistan any time soon, or win there, or frankly anywhere else. Keeping a military presence everywhere seems to be U.S. policy, and that is much harder to do upon victory than during a conflict.

The author makes a few glaring mistakes, the largest of which is assuming that Trump actually wants peace based not on what he does but what he says. Talk is cheap as they say, and if you analyse Trump in his actions you see little more than a warmonger. That he has not yet started any new wars is not for lack of trying, for he has extended U.S. bombings into previously unknown directions. Still, he is not a madman however much he tries to act like one, and he is not going to enter another conflict with an already over-stretched military in easy reach of his created enemies unless he thinks it can win him political points, which at present he has calculated will not be the case.
