The best way to end a war is to end it. Declare victory, bring the troops home, cut off the dollars and ammo and leave.

Ultimately, wars like this will only end when men accept the limits to their ability to control the evolution of the world.

Also, Afganistan holds out (vague) hopes of billions in mineral wealth to be exploited by US Co’s (in the current security environment next to zero chance…of course if the bribes were big enough, well, you never know….)
