It is sad that there are what you might call professional Catholics who make a living on their Catholicism, but in whom the spring of faith flows only faintly, in a few scattered drops. We must really make an effort to change this.

Mundabor, I don’t understand the first two (2) sentences of the paragraph beginning with the word, “Happily”. Would you be kind enough to elaborate or rephrase your thoughts on the legal aspect of the Texas case? Thank you.
-
The Texas lawsuit is not directly concerned with fraud. It is concerned with the fact that the four States have changes their electoral laws without following their own Constitutions. The lawsuit could have taken place in the absence of any suspicion of tampering with the votes on election day.
The consequence of this is that, if the SCOTUS agrees with Texas and either gives the four States to Trump or sends it all to the House, this will decide the victory for Trump, but will not address the brutal voter fraud that has happened. This means that the Dems will do it again, and again, and again…

SCOTUS appears to be intimidated by the mob veto. I hope I’m mistaken.

If you were God, would you consider America to be still worthy of Your protection?
Or is it time to give her lands up to pillage at the hands of the Philistines / Babylonians / Pagans / Muslims / Atheists ? It’s not like we weren’t adequately warned.
Indeed, it’s a wonder that God has put up with us for as long as He has. I expect that He counts up all the hours we spend in prayer and Mass and such, and compares this to the count of hours we spend engaged in mortal sin, and finds us wanting.
Consecrated souls can powerfully tip that balance from justice back to mercy… but how many such souls are left?
-
I’d still consider America worth of my protection.

I agree that it is scandalous that with all of the documented fraud not one person seems to be held accountable for it. It is the FRAUD that stole this election…it is the FRAUD that deserves the court cases and the jail time. THAT needs to happen for any true justice to exist here in the US. And if the Attorney Generals, FBI, and DOJ refuse to do their job in prosecuting then THEY need to go to jail too. God bless~

In the United States we maintain the illusion that each state is a sovereign state, unto itself, in many matters… whenever that illusion is a convenient one. In terms of voting this has practically been determined that voting, in fact, is not all that important. Saving blind salamanders in caves is important enough for the federal government to get involved. Taking people’s homes so a developer can proceed with a project that might increase a town’s tax base- that is important enough for federal intervention.
But voting?
naaahh.
So each state has its own protocols for voting. Identification is required in some… not so much or not at all in others. In some states it is anonymous. In others, not so much. Each state gets to make its own rules. That is the American way. Intervene when money is at stake. Ignore when Rights are being violated.
And it maintains the fiction of “state’s rights” when that fiction can be used for the power-elite’s benefit.

Of course there has always been some fraud, but now the scale is massive. Societal breakdown proceeds apace, now accelerated by the tyranny of Covid.
Think of the chaos demonstrated in so many facets of American life—the broken homes of divorce, abortion as birth control, early sexualization of children via the public schools, the media and pornography, the university systems which are largely socialist/Communist, the ascent of sexual perversion with a transgender newscaster or.weatherwoman? on every channel, and finally a Catholicism in profound, almost complete decay with no moral authority in any sphere.
I’ve been praying mightily that God be merciful and that His justice prevail in this election. Are we too far gone??

M: “Or is “looking moderate” and “not beholden to Trump” more important?”
Now we know.
Own comment:
I must admit that even I thought that the supreme court of the U.S. might intervene, not because I have any faith in that organisation, but simply because the fraud was so blatant and allegations of fraud so numerous. For its own integrity I held out some expectation that they would get involved somehow.
We now know that the supreme court is part of the deep state and that the constitution and legality matter not. The court pretty much rubberstamped the election rigging more or less ensuring that no election in the U.S. henceforth will ever be fair.
It is worth asking whether any of the previous elections were also not distraction shows, but at least the illusion of reality, of elections making a difference, was still there. Democracy, is after all, dependent upon people believing the illusion that they have a say in their county.
Now that a lot of people know that the state apparatus cares not one whiff for what they think, it will be interesting to see which consequences this has going forward.

The Supreme Court is worried that if the Democrats (sic) win the Senate, they will pack the court.
Are they?
Or is “looking moderate” and “not beholden to Trump” more important?
