Southwest $231MM quarterly loss at 100% Boeing airline; closes operations at multiple airports

11 hours 4 min ago

By Daniella Genovese

Southwest Airlines announced Thursday that the carrier is pulling out of several airports as it contends with financial fallout from Boeing delays. CEO Bob Jordan warned that the carrier has intensified its network optimization efforts to address underperforming markets. As a result, the Texas-based carrier is closing operations at:

  • Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport
  • Bellingham International Airport in Washington
  • Cozumel International Airport in Mexico
  • Syracuse Hancock International Airport in New York

Jordan placed some of the blame on Boeing’s manufacturing delays, stating that “the recent news from Boeing regarding further aircraft delivery delays presents significant challenges for both 2024 and 2025.”

While he said it was disappointing to incur a loss in the quarter, the chief executive added that the company is “focused on controlling what we can control and have already taken swift action to address our financial underperformance and adjust for revised aircraft delivery expectations.”

Southwest reported a loss of $231 million, or 39 cents a share, for the quarter.

Blessed Feast of St. Mark!

Thu, 04/25/2024 - 21:27

“Saint Mark, writer of the Gospel and first bishop of Alexandria, was the missionary companion and amanuensis of Saint Peter, the first pope. The third-century theologian Saint Hippolytus (and repentant anti-Pope) claims that Mark was one of the seventy disciples sent forth by Christ, meeting up with Saint Paul (he is likely the ‘John Mark’ mentioned in Acts, cf., 15:37), before joining Saint Peter. Tradition also has him as the ‘young man’, described in his own Gospel, who ‘went away sorrowful’, after Christ’s invitation to ‘leave everything and come follow Him’. Later, the same ‘young man’ watched the tragic events in the Garden of Gethsemane, and ‘ran away naked’ when the authorities tried to arrest him also, but grabbed only his garment (signifying in a vivid way his forced detachment from material things – for some have poverty, like celibacy, thrust upon them).

“Saint Mark, after a few years writing down Peter’s sermons (which comprised the basis for his Gospel), in the year 43 went to Alexandria, thereby founding the Church in Africa, before, as one tradition has it, his martyrdom by the populace by being dragged through the streets, around the time of Saint Peter’s own witness (68 A.D.). He is also connected with Venice, where his relics were transferred, according to historical legend, in 828 to save them from desecration by the Saracens – a tale which makes for some intriguing reading. They now reside in the magnificent basilica dedicated to him.

“Saint Mark’s Gospel seems written in a hurry, like the young man who ran away, and as befits a treatise composed in the tense situation in the nascent Roman Church, where the Christians, who had yet even to be called Christians, faced the imminent threat of persecution and martyrdom under the demonic regime of Nero. The Greek adverb eutheos, ‘immediately’, ‘right away’, occurs forty-one times in this shortest of the Gospels. Mark’s symbol is, after all, a winged lion.

“But this term can also mean ‘fitting’, or ‘well-placed’. All in all, it seems, well, fitting for this Gospel composed with the help of the first Vicar of Christ, whose mission was to found the Church that would govern all the Churches:  As comes across in the very first pages of Acts, the indecisive, wavering Peter had now become courageous, bold, sure, swift and to the point.”

Bioweapon, confirmed. Funded by Fauci, confirmed. “Would leave no signatures of purposeful human manipulation”

Wed, 04/24/2024 - 01:09

Judicial Watch has the receipts… and yes, the vaxx was being developed right along with the weapon. Turns out neither worked very well, but I’ll bet they do better next time. -nvp

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today it received 5 pages of records from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that show an April 2020 email exchange with several officials in the bureau’s Newark Field Office referring to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China as including “gain-of-function research” which “would leave no signature of purposeful human manipulation.”

Judicial Watch obtained the records in response to a May 17, 2023, FOIA request for: emails and text messages of the Newark Field Office, including to Special Agent David A. Miller, containing the terms “gain of function,” “GoF,” “R01A|110964,” and/or “EcoHealth.” Judicial Watch sent the FOIA request to follow up on uncovering the FBI Newark Field Office’s investigation of the Fauci agency’s gain-of-function grants after the Covid-19 pandemic began.

On April 23, 2020, an email exchange with the subject “Follow up call” takes place between several unnamed Newark Field Office FBI officials. A person whose name is redacted writes:

Details of the current NIAID [Fauci’s National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases] grant for WIV [Wuhan Institute of Virology] bat coronavirus surveillance and WIV bat coronavirus gain-of-function research are available at: https://projectreporter.nih.gov/project_info_description.cfm?aid=9819304&icde=49645421&ddparam=&ddvalue=&ddsub=&cr=1&csb=default&cs=ASC&pball= [summary of NIH grant to EcoHealth Alliance for Project 2R01AI110964-06]. The key activity for bat coronavirus surveillance is ‘Aim 1 … We will sequence receptor binding domains (spike proteins) to identify viruses with the highest potential for spillover which we will include in our experimental investigations. (Aim 3).’

The key activity for bat coronavirus gain of function is “Aim 3 … We will use S protein sequence data, infectious clone technology, in vitro and in vivo infection experiments and analysis of receptor binding to test the hypothesis that 0/0 divergence thresholds in S protein sequences predict spillover potential.” Translated into lay language, this equates to: “In Aim 3, we will use de novo synthesis to construct novel viruses encoding different spike proteins in an otherwise-constant genomic context, and we will test the ability of the resulting novel viruses to infect human cells in culture and to infect laboratory animals. We hypothesize that there is a direct correlation between the receptor binding affinity of the spike protein and the abilities to infect human cells in culture and to infect laboratory animals. We will test this hypothesis by asking whether novel viruses encoding spike proteins with the highest receptor-binding affinity have the highest abilities to infect human cells in culture and to infect laboratory animals.”

The reason I am writing is that the experimental strategy proposed in Aim 3 (“infectious clone technology”), if performed using commercial or in-house gene synthesis to prepare the infectious clones, *** would leave no signatures of purposeful human manipulation***.

Japanese study finds ‘significant increases’ in turbo cancer after three deathjabs

Sun, 04/21/2024 - 17:36

(IMO it’s not just the deathjabs, but also the virus/bioweapon itself that is causing this. After all, if you got jabbed, you also probably got Covid, so who knows what is really causing the cancer? -nvp)

LifeSiteNews –– A new study has found “statistically significant increases” in cancer deaths after taking a third dose of mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines, according to a Japanese study published April 8 in the journal Cureus.

The study looked at age-adjusted mortality rates for multiple types of cancers from 2020 to 2022 in Japanese government data. “No significant excess mortality was observed during the first year of the pandemic (2020),” it says. “However, some excess cancer mortalities were observed in 2021 after mass vaccination with the first and second vaccine doses, and significant excess mortalities were observed for all cancers and some specific types of cancer (including ovarian cancer, leukemia, prostate cancer, lip/oral/pharyngeal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and breast cancer) after mass vaccination with the third dose in 2022.”

Notably, the rollout of the COVID vaccines coincided with an interruption and slowing of declines in cancer mortality rates that had been observed across all age groups over the span of the preceding decade. Third mRNA doses correlated with “significant excess mortalities” of all cancers, including breast, prostate, and ovarian cancer as well as leukemia. Almost all of the COVID vaccines at issue were mRNA-based…

Inflation now costing average US household an additional $1000 PER MONTH…

Tue, 04/16/2024 - 17:28

High inflation is costing Americans an extra $1K a month

By

Inflation is once again gaining steam, forcing the average American to shell out a lot more money for everyday necessities.

The typical U.S. household needed to pay $227 more a month in March to purchase the same goods and services it did one year ago because of still-high inflation, according to calculations from Moody’s Analytics chief economist Mark Zandi shared with FOX Business.

Americans are paying on average $784 more each month compared with the same time two years ago and $1,069 more compared with three years ago, before the inflation crisis began.

The analysis suggests that while inflation has fallen from the highs of mid-2022, many families have yet to see material relief.

“Inflation has not just stalled, but it is moving in the wrong direction,” said Lisa Sturtevant, chief economist at Bright MLS.

The Labor Department said Wednesday that the consumer price index (CPI), a broad measure of the price of everyday goods including gasoline, groceries and rent, rose 0.4% in March from the previous month. Prices climbed 3.5% from the same time last year, above the 3.2% figure recorded in February.

However, when compared with January 2021, shortly before the inflation crisis began, prices remain up a stunning 18.94%.

Inflation has created severe financial pressures for most U.S. households, which are forced to pay more for everyday necessities like food and rent.

Best morning-after assessment I’ve seen so far

Sun, 04/14/2024 - 18:48

“Iran side: Iran is celebrating a successful retaliation. They responded to the attack on their Embassy in Syria. They showcased their military capabilities. They showcased powerful hypersonic missiles. Iran shows it is a force in the region. Iran saves face.

“Israel side: CNN: “No reports of injuries directly through Iranian strikes” and “Israel’s military says 99% of weapons fired by Iran intercepted” and finally “The US assessment is that Iran’s attacks had been largely unsuccessful.” Israel’s Air Defense is strong. US Air Defense is strong (MIC sales $$$). Israel saves face.

“US/Biden WH: Neocons want Iran war. Biden is a neocon, but a neocon trying to get re-elected. Any other time in his Presidency and Biden would be all in…BUT Jake Sullivan who runs Biden’s foreign policy is a campaign guy at heart, and he knows war with Iran would sink Biden’s re-election. They opted for a calibrated response/defense, with an off-ramp for all sides.”

https://twitter.com/AXChristoforou/status/1779415781953982507

It all feels like a show. Iran got to saber rattle without doing any damage. Bibi promises swift response but doesn’t. RINO hawks on Fox News all night long, screaming for war with Iran. As a friend remarked, “Imagine if McCain were still alive.”

Biden tells Bibi to stand down.

Why is the Commander of CENTCOM on the ground in Israel on the brink of Iranian counterstrike?

Fri, 04/12/2024 - 23:01
TEL AVIV—Israel is preparing for a direct attack from Iran on southern or northern Israel as soon as Friday or Saturday, according to a person familiar with the matter. Iran has publicly threatened to retaliate for an attack last week in Damascus, Syria, that Tehran said was an Israeli airstrike on a diplomatic building. The strike killed top Iranian military officials, including a senior member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force.
Earlier this week, U.S. intelligence reports showed that an attack on Israeli assets by Iran or its proxies could be imminent, but a source says it now appears that the attack could be within Israel’s borders. A U.S. official with knowledge of the matter said Thursday that American intelligence reports indicate an Iranian retaliatory strike within days, “possibly on Israeli soil” as opposed to Israeli interests elsewhere.
On Thursday, the American Embassy in Israel said U.S. government employees and family members would be restricted from any personal travel…until further notice. Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of U.S. Central Command, which is responsible for military operations in the Middle East, was in Israel on Thursday, defense officials said.

In case the lying media have you fooled, please know that abortion is totally legal in Arizona. The 1864 law was stayed for two weeks, and it is a foregone conclusion the stay will be extended until the November election, where it will be on the ballot as an amendment to the state constitution, and worded in such a way that there will be way more abortions in Arizona than there ever have been before. But enjoy the video.

New poll: 83% of Americans have no intent to buy an EV

Tue, 04/09/2024 - 02:19

How many of you are old enough to remember when we told the government to take this metric system and shove it? It was literally the one positive thing that happened during the Carter administration. I can tell you for certain that in the 1970s, nobody knew we already didn’t have a country anymore. More like 1913, if you really want to know. More on that later. For now, let’s enjoy a little polling. Be sure to click the link to get the dirty deets. I love the smell of fossil fuels in the morning.
