I'll agree with one of those interviewed that it is disturbing to hear people speak of ad orientem worship as though it might be harmful, or divisive, while nothing could be more Catholic in both the narrow - as in regards the faith - and the wider - as in universal - aspects of the term.
So DeusExMachina thinks that the firing of some scandalous bloggers has more to do with the realisation by the National Catholic Register that earning a living from a dying gang - what he calls "ZombieChurch" - is a bad business modell.
We pray for him, as we must indeed all, but I would like to think that he needs our prayers less than most, although we are not to judge someone's eternal destiny, of course.
What is certain is that Fr. Peter Carota helped many a people grow in the faith, myself included, and for that those he enlightened will be ever grateful to him.
