There doesn't seem to be much respite from Pope Francis and his gang of scandal-rousing cohorts. Evidently, Cardinal Kasper is up to his old tricks again, declaring that half of all marriages are invalid according to Pope Francis, something which has neither been confirmed or denied as having been said.
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith finally gets serious against the LCWR in an attempt to arrest the heresy that is being spread by nuns. This can only be a good thing and it shows that not all is broken in Rome, that there are still those who wish to take the job entrusted to them seriously. It is good to see some good honest straight talking and the statement was issued with a clarity and forcefulness that has been sadly lacking for a long time.
