Evil too, will always be part of the mystery of the Church. And when we see what men, what the clergy have done in the Church, then that is nothing short of proof that he [Christ] founded and upholds the Church. If she were dependent on men, she would long since have perished.

Day's Links:
Leave it to the Novus Ordo Church to turn a victory into a defeat.
Members of a retreat centre convert to Catholicism: Reason to cheer. Pastor of said ecumenical retreat centre gets to be ordained at his reception into the Catholic Church: Reason to despair.
We should despair because this gives the impression that somehow and in some farcical way the pasto's orders are valid. In the Church's eyes he is a layman, just like any other, and for that reason he should have been forced into semiary training. Granted, his experience in dealing with people might have given him a shorter route towards the priesthood, as may the assumption that he is already theologically trained.
Nonetheless I cannot help but see this as yet another opportunity lost to make it clear that protestant 'ordinations' are null and void, and even more so when they some from Svenska Kyrkan. I can only hope that there was error in the article linked above, and that the ordination will not in fact take place at his reception into the Church.
