I have heard that you lived in Russia and I wonder if you’re from there or immigrated there? I’m a Christian from Canada and I speak Russian very well for Being a Canadian born citizen. I am hoping one day I can move there because Canada is already infested with anti-Christian citizens and the government here is very against Christianity. I hope you can help me.

Thank you.

I’m sorry about your predicament.

No, I’ve never even been to Russia.

But I guess it’s a compliment to be accused of being a Russian in America today.

Tom writes:

When the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the three children in Fatima in July, 1917, after showing them a vision of hell, she told them:

“You saw hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. In order to save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to me… If people attend to my requests, Russia will be converted and the world will have peace.. If not, Communism will spread its errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church… The good will have much to suffer… In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, and an era of peace will be granted to the world.”

Later, to Lucia, the older child (who was then a nun), Mary asked that the Pope, together with all the Catholic Bishops of the world, on one day, consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart…
Lucia made this known to the Pope of that time, but neither he nor the following Pope responded to Mary’s request…

Finally, in 1952, Pope Pius XII did consecrate Russia, by name, to Mary’s Immaculate Heart, but without all of the Bishops of the world joining him…

Here is that Consecration…

Apostolic Letter Carissimis Russiae Populis
On the Immaculate Heart and the People of Russia
Pius XII, 7 July 1952

RUSSIA CONSECRATED TO THE IMMACULATE HEART

“In order that Our and your prayers be more readily answered, and to give you an especial attestation of Our particular affection, therefore, just as not many years ago We consecrated the entire world to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mother of God, in a most special way, so now We dedicate and consecrate all the peoples of Russia to that same Immaculate Heart, in confident assurance that through the most powerful protection of the Virgin Mary there may, at the earliest moment, be happily realized the hopes and desires which We, together with you and with all those of upright intention, have for the attainment of true peace, of fraternal concord, and of rightful liberty for all: in the first place for the Church, so that through the mediation of the prayer which We raise to heaven in union with you and with all Christian peoples, the saving Kingdom of Christ, which is “a Kingdom of truth and of life, a Kingdom of sanctity and of grace, a Kingdom of justice, of love, and of peace, may triumph and be firmly established in every part of the world.

And with suppliant appeal We pray the same most loving Mother that she may assist every one of you in the present sad circumstances and obtain from her divine Son heavenly light for your minds, and for your souls that virtue and fortitude by which, with God’s grace, you may be able victoriously to overcome impiety and error.”

It seems reasonable that, considering the remarkable, if not miraculous return of Russia under Putin to Christianity (hundreds of churches rebuilt, et.) , to suggest that Pius’ Consecration was acceptable… that perhaps God, knowing that the participation of all the Bishops was not possible, given the situation in the Church and world at that time, accepted the 1952 Consecration,..but, because it was not done as She asked, that it has, and will take, a longer time to have its cresults, the complete conversion of Russia and the eventual unity of Christendom, East with West.

Mary, in Her evident love for the Russian people, who have suffered so much and always had a strong devotion to Her, via the Russian Orthodox Church (which is still connected by its priesthood to Catholicism, though separated from the authority of Rome) would be, through Her, once again be united with Rome in the unity of Christendom.

It’s important to note that while Mary asked for the consecration of Russia, She made her request to Roman Catholic children and to the Roman Catholic Pope in a Roman Catholic country, which denotes the true seat of authority to the East.

Just a speculation…and so we pray for and await a true Pope and/or leaders.

That is an interesting theory.

I’d like to study it more.
