This is yet another out of date Dominican priest fighting a failed rearguard battle in support of antipope francis.

Own comment:

From what I can tell, Gloria.tv takes a rather dismissive tone to the notion that protestant sects have been promoted by the U.S. in South America. The commenters do much the same.

There is from what I can tell much truth behind this, as even E. Michael Jones has , I believe, alluded to in the past. It would be my take that the U.S. sought to undermine the Catholic Church in South America whereas the communists sought to infiltrate it.

In the end, they were both successful! The Church in South America is a mess, and much of its priorities are definitely marxist. The few who take a stand against marxism, on the other hand, seem quite often to be agents of U.S. hegemony. There is very little Catholicism that I see in the public sphere in South America, even from the Church, and the Church seems to have lost on all fronts of the Cold War ideologies.

It does not seem as though they are Catholic first, but secular ideologues first, attempting to use the Church to further their aims. Bergoglio personifies this better than any other, but he is but the most obvious example.
