After months of bishops insisting that "time away from the Sacraments" was a GOOD thing, now that's translating into "time away from the collection basket" as well. Such a pity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Own comment: 

As I wrote a while back, in March actually, when they started shutting down the churches and after they had been shut in Italy for  while: If people can do without Church for so long, why do you think they will come back?

Now, it is telling that NOChurch is probably more concerned about the drop in donations than the lack of Mass attendance or missed sacraments or the general spiritual poverty which goes along with it - given that even the Novus Ordo Missae probably does give some grace.

It's sad, but on the other had we shoudl be grateful that the truth is coming out so plainly that even those who have ignored it for long have no excuse now.
