Evil too, will always be part of the mystery of the Church. And when we see what men, what the clergy have done in the Church, then that is nothing short of proof that he [Christ] founded and upholds the Church. If she were dependent on men, she would long since have perished.

It's rather simple; if we place our energy into pleasing God, and giving Him His due homage and worship; grace will flow in abundance. If we focus solely on man (ie social justice), then we will continue to see the erosion of the Faith and the emptying of parishes.
...
All criticisms aside, it's a happy story and proof that the Faith has a power to it that transforms hearts and enlivens souls....and neighborhoods!!!
I came across Fr. Joseph Illo following a piece on some news station reporting on how he had discontinued the use of altar girls in his parish. I do not know how I came across it since it was from the local TV station, but the reporter commented that Fr. Illo had remarked that given the collapse of parish life, "the only way is up".
It would seem the good priest was right, so I am happy so learn that his parish is doing well. By Novus Ordo standards any parish not being closed is doing well, but his actually seems to be growing and the piece on the Eponymous Flower suggests he offers the Roman Rite as well, which is would seem to make sense as it seems to be only those who are attracted to authentic Catholicism that can see the rot that has beset the Church for the rot that it actually is.
