Surprise, surprise. I'm sure they just innocently added the "catholic" part so no one would focus too much on the fact that the suspect is a foreign man from Rwanda. After so many fires, anyone still believing this?

Apparently the inside of a French prison is a better life than living on the outside in Rwanda. An interesting strategy.

 

 

Own comment: 

Torching churches seems to have become a new national occupation in France - perhaps the new national occupation.

That this issue gets so little attention ought to be enough to tell  you exactly what the political elite think of Christianity.

If it has been synagogues burning every day and week you can be sure the president would be out and about condemning anti-Semitism - whatever that means - and ordering extra police presence.

As it is, they just shrug off their shoulders - assuming they are not the ones behind it which they may well be.

This time the alleged assailant is alleged to have been an immigrant with a visa issue, which should raise serious questions about the mental faculties of those who gave him keys to the Church in the first place.
