One can readily admit that the Magisterium's manner of expression does not seem very easy to understand at times. It needs to be translated by preachers and catechists into a language which relates to people and to their respective cultural environments. The essential content of the Church's teaching, however, must be upheld in this process. It must not be watered down on allegedly pastoral grounds, because it communicates the revealed truth.

Meanwhile in Melbourne, hailed as the most livable city in the world, a 28 year old mother is savagely murdered by her husband in front of her three young children. And the powers that be in Australia are busily coming after the Catholics! Our Lady of Fatima, Come to our aid!

That should be an easy one. That law is completely irrelevant to a Catholic. Every Priest and Bishop should consider it toilet paper, and declare if so. I do.
What does it profit a man to avoid earthly jail while condemning his soul to eternal prison in hell?
The Bishops and Religious Superiors should all be out front of this, damning the law; publicly commanding their Priests to disobey it and defend the Seal. I am not surprised they don’t. But they should.
I was advised early in this misbegotten Papacy, by Priests, to keep my head down and not worry about early warnings and troubling issues above my pay grade. To me, distance from my life was not relevant. My response was that the crisis would come personally for me and them eventually. We would not be able to avoid it by closing our eyes and feeling sorry for those closest to combat. It would be but a matter of time before the battle lines found us, too.
Time for choosing. God will not allow any Catholic to plead ignorance. This is too gross a violation. Violation upon violation. They are here. At the personal, individual, sacramental level, here. Choose.
This is, however, a very easy way for the Australian Government to get rid of all priests, bar none. IPhones and activists will do the trick very fast.
The first comment regarding the story about the Seal of Confession being under attack in Australia is a comment about an attack by a Muslim man.
I would just like to point out the futility of turning everything into a diatribe against Islam. It is a very disturbing tendency, one most common among 'conservative' secularists and Novus Ordites, but which unfortunately seems to be spreading even among traditional types.
Perhaps a lot of people haven't figured out that the very people promoting Islam are the very same attacking the Catholic faith, the very same attacking the family, the very same attacking human nature.
Islam is not the problem, but another tool in their toolbox against the Catholic faith and the societies it by and large created.
The other crazy movements are also tools in that same toolbox, from homosexualism, to transgenderism, to feminism; tools which are switched based on whichever is most effective for the given situation. So when, for instance, they want to kill the unborn, they trot out feminism. When they want to drive Christian businesses out of businesses, they trot out homosexualism. When they want to poison our children with the most evil schemes, they trot out transgenderism.
For sure Islam and Christianity are not bedfellows, and no one group has fought harder against Islam than Catholics, traditional ones, but we must extricate ourselves from this regurgitation of vitriol against Islam which in the end only serves interests which are even more hostile to Christianity than they are to Islam, truth be told, given that they are for the most part allies. In this group I include zionists and the military-industrial complex, as well as the financial giants.
The sooner people realise that the better.
