    How can we ever justify something like this to our good-intentioned Protestant friends and family? We can't. So we just have to sit back and let everyone we know think we agree with King George and his horrendous ways.

      If what is going on in the Catholic church today had instead been going on in the spring of 1972 when I walked up to a parish and knocked on the rectory door, saying I wanted to learn about Catholicism, I would not have bothered. Eventually I left anyway (after some bewilderment and disappointment over experiences which led me to question fundamental beliefs in the first place).

      I totally understand. You need to find true Catholicism in the Traditional Latin Mass. I am a cradle Catholic who left the Church in 1980 but God led me back through certain people and circumstances in my life and now I will never leave no matter what. The last thing you do is abandon ship during a storm. Find an FSSP (Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter) parish, if you can. God bless you.
