Another scandal involving a not so humble cleric. You know, Francis isn't very good at this humility business. And since the Cardinal-designate is beyond the age of voting, pray tell, Holy Father, what is he supposed to do? I suspect, as Fr. Morello states here in the comments, that this elevation is to promote, and give official sanction to, Bishop Porco's Socialism and a means of Francis to give some recognition to Morales' tyrannic and unlawful Kratocracy.

This "Cardinal-designate" obviously DOES have some kind of girlfriend/mistress and his claim that he has no "wife" is on par with Bill Clinton's line, "That depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is." Also highly likely is that he and the concubine have two children. Is this really going to happen? Will this man really be made a Cardinal?

Francis has no problem promoting those he knows are sexual abusers and open sodomites.

Having a mistress on the side and a little embezzlement is nothing by comparison. Who is he to judge? Perhaps these sins are something God is calling them to do in their present circumstances? Just stop your gossiping and focus on the mercy and the unity of commonality, ok? Be a good example to the youth who we are attempting to sucker into our progrom with very many concessions.

Designating Bishop Porco as cardinal is a wonderment. He's too old at 81 to vote at the next papal election, if we ever get there and he's retired. If it is a reward if so for what if not for Porco's socialist secularist posture and connections with Morales. Then with the changes occurring during reform of the Curia 80 years of age may change. "If there is any real reform, it is that of the decentralization of competences, that touched the causes for nullity of marriages and the translation of liturgical texts. Decentralization was one of the main themes of Evangelii Gaudium, Pope Francis’ first exhortation" (Journalist Andrea Gagliarducci Blog 6.18.18). The dreaded decentralization of translation of liturgical texts is followed by something perhaps more dreadful, "causes for nullity of marriages". That virtually insures that the annulment process will become Catholic divorce.

If only the dubious Dubia presenters were as courageous as Franics

      That's it in many ways.

I see much of the trials we are facing to be not so much issues of "doctrine" as they are issues of simple integrity and courage. The DOCTRINES are settled. Period.

Adherence to them is absolutely NOT settled.

As if the greatest of our leaders can only muster a "Look, here, little Mighty Joe Young...you and your laymen friends have a job to do in defending the Church. Get on with it! We on the other hand have well-settled doctrines to keep repeating..."

If only John Paul and Benedict had been courageous as Francis we would not have this fraud on our hands.
They were either blind, complicit or duped.

As time goes by I have to admit the benefit of the doubt I've provided them continues to evaporate.

And the prize for ‘Comment of the Week’ goes to Mighty Joe Young. ;-)

Own comment:

There is truth in what writes:

If only the dubious Dubia presenters were as courageous as Franics

I would not use the word "courage" as courage denotes doing the right thing in the face of insurmountable odds. Bergoglio is simply brazen.

The reply by I can get behind whole-heartedly though:

I see much of the trials we are facing to be not so much issues of "doctrine" as they are issues of simple integrity and courage. The DOCTRINES are settled. Period.

Whether it is integrity and courage to face the media alone, or whether it is risking losing one's privileges; it doesn't really matter. What is indisputable is that most of the episcopacy of the Church is woefully lacking in courage.

A large part of that lacks integrity as well, and the ones with the least integrity seem to end up highest on Bergoglio's promotion list.
