Not one word about the "Great Reset"

I am sure you are familiar with it and what it's aims are, so why no mention ?

Boris and his co-conspirators are taking their orders from those "behind the curtain" who aims are freely available to the men and women motivated enough to look for the bigger picture.

Sedition!

...

So the last lockdown failed, wearing face nappies failed, but if we just keep repeating failure for what appears to me just hysteria born from seasonal flu and dodgy mass PCR testing. I guess next ineffective vaccines will be added to this devils brew.

...

Sumption points out that SAGE, in March, told the government that lockdowns would not stop the disease, simply prolong its spread. Lockdowns have not saved (and will not save) a single death. All viral outbreaks continue their course: first with exponential growth, then as community immunity increases, the infection rate slows and then fades away to a very low level. This is true of nasty ones like ebola as well as mild ones like flu and covid.
There is no 'second wave', just a continuation of the first 'wave' interrupted by lockdowns.
The trouble is that the disgraced Neil Ferguson is back with us 'advising' the government. This man has a track record of failure. Thus when Mad cow disease and CJD was the scare he predicted 50,000 deaths from CJD. How many were there? Just 178 and of those some were vegetarians.
Originally the lockdown was 'to save the NHS' (long past saving in my view). So successful was this that hospitals had hundreds of empty beds throughout even the peak, while doctors sat around with little to do. GPs ceased to see patients and I remain puzzled as to what they spend their time actually doing. In the old days doctors attended the sick at some personal risk - that was their calling and job. Now they avoid any contact with patients, avoiding them like the plague - if you'll forgive the phrase.

...

From the beginning, I have only felt one emotion and it is not fear! I am and have been very angry since March. That angry has been growing as more and more has come to light regarding the seriousness of the condition, the quality of the testing, the madness of the measures and pace with which they have changed with some just plain silly terms and language that serve only to confuse us all the more. These tactics often cause one to question the sanity levels of those bestowing them. Now I only feel sad, sad that this train seem unstoppable and in fact is speeding up....it seems to me that we will be tasting tyranny, and for some time to come. Given the role the UK played in ending slavery in the late 18th century, one is left feeling extremely sad at this point, extremely sad indeed.

...

Case here on the other side of the Channel where someone tested positive, and instead of keeping to the two weeks’ quarantine went to the gym instead. Result: 33 new infections reported. That’s why they have to close if only a small part of the population won’t stick to the hygiene rules.

The virus, which is not lethal in itself to most of the population, will overrun the healthcare system if it is allowed to spread too rapidly. It will become lethal for those who cannot be treated due to overcrowded hospitals, postponed surgery. I cannot comprehend how anyone cannot see this. The close contact with others we all like has got to be temporarily suspended, not abolished, with this in mind. The government need to achieve this with minimum economic disruption as possible.

As for mask wearing it reduces the chance of being infected, but doesn’t eliminate it, but more importantly massively reduces the dosage of the virus you get if you are infected - up to 90%. This can be decisive in whether you become seriously ill or not.

I am naturally suspicious of government overreach, so wouldn’t it be a good idea for the UK to have a written constitution setting out the rights, responsibilities and limits on government and the citizenship, taking away the fear that one of the most incompetent governments for many years cannot be called to account under the law?

"Good morning"

You couldn't make this up! The truth or the "so called Government truth" is indeed turning out to be stranger than fiction.
On a day that saw a mass protest in Birmingham over government fascism, plus protests in most European cities, some involving the use of gunpowder, you would be forgiven for thinking that Boris et al where clearly worried that our time honoured tradition of celebrating Mr. Faukes' failed attempt was drawing ever closer on the calendar.
Well he certainly made sure that it's not going to happen this year perhaps for fear that someone may have attempted a Bonfire night extravaganza!

Lord Sumption's address was indeed fuel for thought, we should remind ourselves to check out the Govt.co.uk website and see what Statutory powers are about to be added to the books before they vote on them Wednesday.

The army are about to be rolled out on the streets but don't worry, these well trained, well armed men and women will only be wearing apron covered fatigues and carrying only cotton buds.

We shouldn't really be imagining "Martial Law" being imposed should we?

You would have to know what the despot and often overlooked Dominic Cummings is up to behind the scenes, it seems his public shaming earlier this year has put him on a war footing and his critics will pay a dear price for demanding his resignation.

The time has come however to say enough is enough! Doctored figures, statistical graphs of impending death and destruction again?

The NHS being overrun? Remember this incumbent Govt and others previous have sought to squander public money on non-existent nuclear threats and at the same time strip the NHS BED CAPACITY by up to 60% in the last ten years.

When your country IS at REAL war do you stop buying ammunition? Do you stop buying weapons? Why haven't the army medical corps been drafted in to the NHS to shore up support? not put on the streets to shove cotton bayonets up peoples' noses.

Earlier, I sent an email to my MP, something which Mr Hitchens has been urging people to do on his Twitter feed.

I would also agree with his point about the horror of widespread mask-wearing. Walking into a supermarket and seeing that it resembles something vaguely more depressing than an episode of Casualty or Holby City does not suggest that we live in 'normal' or sensible times.

Brilliant as usual. The sheep do not realise they are on their way to the abattoir. Half a braiin cell should warn most people that something is very wrong.
Unfortunately the indoctrination at school and university and through mainstream media and television has finished off most people who are not strong enough to fight for their lives against this world wide tyranny.

Simply brilliant article. So pleased there are others out there who believe we are living in some Owellian version of the Emperors New Clothes fairytale. I feel so sorry for the young who will have to live with these insane destructive lockdown economic policies for decades to come.

I agree with pretty much with all you have said. Most people would agree. Just one thing you do not provide the solution to all that is going on. Do we just let COVID run it’s course, in that way we perhaps have some kind of herd immunity BUT we also know that Long COVID is sitting in the wings, this I personally know of for a twenty nine year old, fit and healthy family male? This will, cause many issues Over the next few years for the NHS and so Government. Do we stop paying furlough to those families that need it and what about those that are not getting any financial help at the moment? What about those businesses that are drowning how do we help them right now, today? What about those people ill with Cancer and other awful diseases. Should everyone tomorrow just go back out and it is business as usual pre-March and wait to see what happens? I would not wish to be in Boris J shoes right now simply because there is no answer we can all say what we think and believe but we do not know what can happen and that is the biggest problem.

The real coup is by lawyers, judges and Supreme Court. They are undermining the law to the detriment of the law abiding public in favour of criminals and crime at all levels. Indeed, Chris Daw seeks to empty the jails and legalise drug taking, albeit under control of government. And we know how successful that has been at present. Law and justice no longer compliment each other. Only money gives you justice. Government pays for the human rights criminal whilst crime/drugs pay for the crime bosses. We in the middle get stuffed. The fact that 800 lawyers etc complained to Ms Patel about the public not respecting them highlights this fact. Personally, I have nothing but contempt for laws and judges. Four years ago, to the day, Michael White tweeted to me that ‘when they come me for me’ judges will be my saving. It wasn't true then, less so now. Those who will come for us have been given a green light to come by the courts and human rights. Parliament and what stands for politicians (ineffective and narcissistic) have been pushed to one side and made irrelevant.

The gullible British public make two glaring mistakes: Elected a liar with only one agenda on the ticket - Brexit and nothing else. The second one is giving in to fiat of this corrupt government who have given contracts to family and friends

Thank you for an excellent article that the BBC and Sky will ignore. I concur with your views on Lord Sumption and have 23 pages of references and bibliography links relating to the covid farce.

My concern since March has been that propaganda and diktats would blind the population and it is happening as we speak.

I am however hopeful that there are enough people in society with good brains and knowledge who will stop this nonsense and then take those responsible for the deceit and fraud to court.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.” Whether that be a quote of Edmund Burke or someone else is irrelevant, it is a very true saying.

Plans for ‘The Great Reset’ are crystallising. Ignorance, blind trust in the mainstream media, complacency and compliance have oiled the wheels for its rollout.

I am driven to increasingly go inside my head - where the imagination roams - free wheeling and acrobatic. All would be well but for the niggling thoughts that worm their way in - thoughts about kids losing their momentum - their wings clipped, opportunities scuttled, about a resurgence of famines because resources have been diverted or simply removed, about endemic poverty, about addictions, about abuse. And the surreal nightmare continues.

Own comment:

This  Ken B must be one of those mid-wits to whom Tom Woods refers: People just about smart enough to string sentences together, but too dumb to comprehend anything and believing whatever lies come their way so long as they are cloaked in government authority.

One cannot stop a virus by locking people inside unless you provide them with their air supply, and to this date there is no correlation between shutdowns and controlling the spread of Covid-19, assuming Covid-19 is even real, which on the evidence it is not. Masks of the sort being mandated do not work against viruses, and anybody saying they do deserves to be put out to pasture.

The only effect of the shutdowns is ruining lives and livelihoods, and by now everybody should be singing in unison that this is the goal of those who advocate these measures, because they have proved to be useless towards any other purpose.
