    Exactly! If the Alabama Republican Party renounced his nomination, the election is null and void if Moore wins. Then the Republican governor would appoint a Republican to fill the seat until the 2018 election when the primary to determine the candidate would recur (and probably wouldn’t be Moore at that time). So, elect Moore, stab the establishment Rino’s and Democrats in the eyes, and move on to 2018. Sweet!

      However, is the Republican governor republican enough to vote in a Trump Republican? I’d prefer to send him in office first; and, if convicted, anothe rprimary with another hard-line Trump guy.
      Would send a great message to McConnell & Co too

Nobody believes that this is a case of “stupidity”.

They are terrified of Judge Moore and all this is intentional.

    What is amazing is that everyone knows it’s a stitch-up, but they are all pretending like it’s real.

    No matter what one says about the Soviets, at least they believed the virtual reality that they were implementing.

The Democrats have ushered in the new Puritanism: to be applied to enemies only of course.
I am glad I know the new standard. I will allow no fireman to douse my home unless I know he has never committed a mortal sin in his life. It’s too late now, but the next time my granddaughter needs open heart surgery, I will check out the surgeon , too. He might not save her life, but at least I will know he was pure.

I think this has less to do with puritanism than with the fact that Moore is a Christian of strong convictions and the vast majority of establishment Repuke-lickin’s are totally sold out to the enemies of Christ.
