  • It’s an unstable coalition. They are already fighting each other. They won’t make it to 2022. In the meantime, Salvini gets to build his power base even more. Remember the Greek elections several years ago that propelled Syriza and Tsipras to power? As soon as these crazy leftists got in, they turned their backs on all the promises they made. Result: last June, Greeks voted for the opposition and the opposition won a majority in parliament. A majority. No coalition nonsense. Majority. Salvini is aiming for a majority.

  • Amen to your prayer. We hope Italy can move in the right direction. I simply cannot fathom in any way why someone willing to do the hard work of ending this insane migration policy wouldn’t be supported by the people. I don’t get it! Is Italy like other EU nations that are so glassy eyed over diversity they can’t bring themselves to criticize the insanity despite seeing with their own eyes the problems? I just can’t see Italians as people who can’t face reality and deal with it, but I don’t know.
I was very disappointed with Trump’s endorsement of Conte, and am puzzled by it. God bless and keep Salvini, he is the man who would get my vote, that’s for sure. I hope and pray the Italians figure this out quickly. Our Lady, please, intercede for Italy.

    • Some people are like the Swedes. Many more are against migration, but don’t want to feel hard of heart. A strong part of the Country is like Salvini.

Own comment:

Let us hope indeed that the political chaos in Italy brings some good out of it!

In fact, Salvini is one of the few politicians who seems to have the good of his people at heart. Unlike Trump, he has shown that given the power, he will try to use it for the good of his country first and foremost, and not that of other nations and certain political lobbies.

It is my sincere hope that he will continue in the same good vein once he becomes prime minister, something which seems to be only a matter of time given the current trajectory.
