Celibacy is always, shall we say, an affront to what man normally thinks. It is something that can be done, and is only credible, if there is a God and if celibacy is my doorway into the kingdom of God.

One of the reasons why I early on decided to refer to Bergoglio by his family name and not the name he chose as pope - an action which seems to have spread even to the highest levels, with Archbishop Vigano now doing the same (not that he copied me necessarily) - is because I did not want to associate the name "Francis" or the word "pope" with negativity. If I call him Bergoglio then I can speak the truth of him without ever leading to anyone disdaining either Francis or the papacy.
The comment by James (the other one) makes this obvious, and it is perhaps the case that had he also decided to refer to the big destroyer as Bergoglio and not Francis, he might have avoided this:
We cannot allow Bergoglio or his ilk, or those who claim our saints, to be the ones who determine how we view them. This is part of the devil's plan and must be resisted vigorously.
Finally, the man at the centre of this piece is an atheist and I am left wondering: If an atheist can tell that Bergoglio is not Catholic, what excuse do Catholics have? Something is very amiss if atheists recognise Catholicism better than those who call themselves Catholics do.
