“Confirmation has to precede First Communion according to the correct order of the sacraments”. Did this chap skip some classes in seminary and got made Bishop? The Eucharist was initiated by Christ on Maundy Thursday....Pentecost happened a while later a long while later, so why is he proposing an order of Sacraments that were not established in that order by Jesus?

The bishop has restored the TRADITIONAL order of the three sacraments of initiation. The sacraments are not dramatic re-enactments of particular incidents in the gospels or Acts of the Apostles.

How about his saying the godparents, or sponsors have to be practicing Catholics, appointed, apparently, for their ability to help the young person to live the faith. Also,
this is an experiment. Even in our traditional Church, there are very few Confirmations. It would be tragic to loose the young people who received First Communion, but then do not continue to practice the faith, as those around them who have not received adequate catechism, or who choose to ignore the laws of God, opting rather for modern lifestyles, where the environment is more important than the law of God.

Also Godparents are designated at baptism. He speaks of confirmation not baptism, so does he mean sponsors?
God alone knows what he means.
...
What else would you expect from another deceived bishop who supports the antipope?

Own comment:

It is beyond my comprehension why Gloria.tv is so insistent on 'restoring' the Order of Sacraments. They claim that the order before St. Pope Pius X was confirmation first, then baptism.

I am not the greatest defender of all of St. Pope Pius X's reforms, but the current order seems about right. Then again, I might be a child of the times, simply accepting this because it is what I found.

It makes sense, if confirmation is supposed to equip us to be soliders for Christ, that it should come after we have been properly prepared, catechised and internalised the Faith, so that we can defend and spread it. The Orthodox Churches' model of confirmation at baptism does not seem to be to be a model to follow, and in fact we see that most Orthodox don't know their faith.

This is an issue that deserves more investigation, but put it this way: It is said that First Communion was brought forward by St. Pope Pius X. If indeed it is the case that Confirmation then ended up afterwards, it is probably as a result of this. Any 'restoration' would then have to include raising the age of First Communion, which is something I have not seen addressed.
