    I read somewhere recently that the deaths in Italy from Corvid-19 were over-reported which just adds to the panic. Other kinds of death resulting and associated with C-19 go unreported such anxiety related suicides, and murders, inability to get hospital care for non corvid-19 conditions, etc. Thus the collateral deaths from Corvid-19 panic will probably exceed Corvid-19 itself.

 
 
 
 
Own comment: 

It is difficult for me to imagine what could justify shutting down an entire economy and depriving people of their livelihoods, pushing them and their children into debt.

What is certain is that a virus which largely kills people out of the workforce -and few of them at that - is definitely not it.

It cannot be good either that doctors have been panicked into avoiding common sense and cannot respond reasonably to patietns when they come in. There is no doubt that the coronavirus hype is killing patients, and for sure it is killing societies.
