  1. As an American this is something I cannot understand: After the vote to exit the EU why the "H" can't the UK just walk away?
Abrogate all its agreements with the EU and simply create new ones with either the EU as a whole or the individual (unhappy) nations in the EU?
It seems simple. "We are out! bye bye."over 'working the exit out' has been no more than stalling in the hope that perhaps all of the people who voted to exit will die or, perhaps, Parliament will give the muzlim immigraants the vote so they can vote to rejoin with the dhimmitudal EU.

  2. Answer is, it can just walk away -- but the Establishment (AKA the UK swamp) doesn't **want** to.

Own comment:

I am not in any way a fan of the British establishment, and there is not a single politician of whom I know in parliament or outside  on whom I would hoist my flag, not even Jacob Rees-Mogg who still seems to harbour the old British anti-Russian attitude which has caused so much misery over the past few decades, not least in the Middle East and along Russia's borders.

That being written, I must echo the bemusement of the American commenter who wonders why the U.K. cannot simply walk away from the E.U. , while I also echo the response of the replying commenter who lays the blame firmly at the feet of the political establishment.

The simple truth of the matter is that none of Britain's problems have to do with the E.U., and with the E.U. gone, the British people - the few who have any sense left anyway - may come to realise that and demand real accountability from their 'represantatives'. That is probably what the British establishment fears losing most - an excuse for destroying their country - even more than the cushy jobs which the EU apparatus affords them.
