Bishop Schneider is 100% correct! The Abu Dhabi Statement is an act of idolatry - and one more blasphemy added to the growing list going on today. Thanks be to God for such a courageous shepherd in these times, i.e., Bishop Schneider - who is not afraid to stand firm for the Catholic Faith. May Our Lady, Who is acies ordinata, continue to strengthen him - so that he may stand firm for Her Divine Son, Who is the ONLY Way, Truth and Life - and without Whom, there is NO SALVATION!

Centuries ago, something like Abu Dhabi would have seen the authors burned at the stake or forced to "abjure" their heresies.

Anyone who INTENDS to worship the one, true God who created all things and keeps them in existence IS worshiping the one, true God who created all things and keeps them in existence.

Those who say that Muslims worship "a different God" are muddleheaded. There IS no "different God."

What is true is that Muslims do not have any revealed truth about God, but only those truths about God that can be known by reason, mixed with many errors.

Own comment:

It's astonishing that one can hardly get 2 NOChurch bishops - even those on the right side, relatively - to agree on even basic things. This is all the clearer when Bergoglio has spoken on a topic, as ass-kissing seems to be the only way to rise up the NOChurch ladder and those there wish to retain their benefits.

Anyway, I am in full agreement with :

He states the classic Catholic position on this issue so it is with regret that I note very many Catholics uttering the "Muslims do not worship the same God" canard without realising that they are themselves out of tune with Catholic Tradition. Now, that does not excuse the many various and scandalous inter-religious activities we have seen, for though there can only be one God, He Himself has revealed how he is to be worshipped and save his creatures, and that is only within the Holy Catholic Church, so any attempt to muddle this is gravely sinful at the very least.
