Here's a rhetorical question; Just how many teachings and practices can be added, ignored, altered, restated, suppressed, abolished and changed and yet the local "Church" remains the "Church"?

I bet this was discussed by my ancestors in England and Denmark at some point in the mid-1500's.

Since it seems that our leaders are always parsing words like "heresy" in order to separate it from what the Pope says and does, just what does it take to actually accomplish technical apostasy?

"Just how many teachings and practices can be added, ignored, altered, restated, suppressed, abolished and changed and yet the local "Church" remains the "Church"?

The answer is so very simple, Rod. NONE remain the Church which have done one or all of what you have listed.
The ever growing diabolical use of Synods, together with the notion that each diocese can "do its own thing" AND STILL BE CATHOLIC has reigned among us for so long that we have long lost sight of the meaning of the word "Unity". It was so designed to fragment, and eventually destroy the Papacy; the Pope becomes one of any number of Bishops and like sand through the hour glass, so are the final days of the Catholic Church, visible to the world at one time as the True Church founded by Our Divine Lord, now one of many acceptable choices to worship God in ones own way.
The Amazonian fiasco has nothing to do with the Amazon basin and its thirst for truth. It has everything to do with the final battle for the Catholic Faith, pure and undefiled, for which COUNTLESS missionaries paid the ultimate price that pagans might convert to Christ. Evidentially, paganism is about to show the True Faith a thing or two.

Own comment:

Any time Bergoglian bishops gather we know there is going to be trouble. The Amazon synod is no exception and displays Bergoglioism and Novusordoism as the paganism they really are.

It is not a bad thing that they put their apostasy on full display.
